Welcome to BYC. One of my hens crowed when she was younger. After a few years she quit. She now is 8 1/2; still laying eggs, going broody, and raising chicks.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Crowing hens are rare, but it does happen. In most instances it's an older hen who has taken over the role of a rooster in a roosterless flock, but not always. Are you sure you have a hen? I have certainly heard of hens that occasionally crow, but sometimes they can fool you. If you are not sure, you can always post pics in the "What breed or gender?" forum.
