Looks to be a pullet to me. There isn't a lot of info about them out there because they are rather new and are hybrids rather than a true breed. I have a 14-week old pullet sold as a "production blue", which I believe is a cross of RIR and Australorp similar to your chick. So far my little blue is sweet and rather shy.

Thanks for the feedback! I know there is some color variety - but mine sure is dark compared to other pics i could find and not sure what to look for feature wise. She is on the shy side as well!

I was wondering the same about my blue. She is black not gray, and her feet are blue/black, and she has more tail feathers than yours. And is 4 weeks old too. And I read that the females have yellow feet. But if they are a hybrid, wouldn't that be up to the draw of genetics? We love her already, but we cannot keep him if it's a boy. :( I will try and take pictures tomorrow, they are sleeping now.

Are they the same as production blues? I have 5 16 week old production blues and all of them have blue/black feet and all are pullets.

I don't think so? Her corm is on the blue side too. and from what I am reading the chicks are yellow with black, she was all black with a few white spots on her face and a yellow bum, with a little red dot on the back of her neck. That are now turning into red feathers. Here's some pictures. she's 4 weeks old. I have a few more pictures if it would help.

Ok..I just came back from getting two more chicks to replace one that died last week. I saw a black Australorp chick there, and she looked like that too when she was a chick. But, I looked back to the week I got her and they didn't have black australorps that week but they had Olive eggers and I went and googled those chicks and she looks like those too. I guess we shall see, if she is a she and has green eggs, that will tell me! lol But if she is also a cross with an australorp, couldn't she just look more like an australorp? Very confused, as long she is a she, I will be ok with it. and her feathers aren't shiny so I think she's a she? Still not sure. Time will tell.

Mine had blue combs. They just started turning red now that they're close to laying. And mine were all. Lue as babies. Heres how they looked. (Not including the 2 easter eggers.)

Welp, then maybe that is what she is?! IDK..she looked like the two blacker ones more.
From my little research rhode island blues are the same as production blues. Production blues are Rhode island reds and blue australorps mixed. So if shes the same then the feet color doesnt indicate sex. All of mine have blue/grey feet and all are pullets.
