Nothing like building a coop with your own hands, and turning a Little Tykes playhouse into a hen haven? Now that’s what I call frontier ingenuity. Bet those chicks are gonna love their new digs. Hi there!
We had chickens in the Tampa, FL area when our kids were young. That was a hot, stinky, muddy endeavor. Now we live in Rhode Island and the kids are older and helping a lot with our 3 chicks. I’m in the process of building out a Little Tykes playhouse to be used as their coop. I can’t wait to get them outside!

As you can see we’re on a significant slope. I’m proud that I managed to get the coop level

Insulation on the ceiling, peel and stick wallpaper samples on the floor to aid in cleaning, and starting to predator-proof the openings.
