The house I'm living in has developed a serious mold problem due to leaks in the attic and the landlord has been negligent about fixing it (I don't own this home, I rent). As a result of the mold, I have developed asthma. I hadn't even been to a doctor in over 5 years because I've been in such great health, and now I'm paying tons of medical bills just because this scumbag doesn't want to spend money on maintaining his house. I'm planning to talk to a lawyer and sue him for the medical bills. These people are terrible - the landlord's daughter has a court case right now facing up to 30 years in prison for child abuse because her 2 month old baby had two broken legs and serious head injuries.
So anyways, I'm probably going to be moving out in the near future, I just don't know when or where I'll be moving to. I'm hoping I can find a place that I can bring my chickens to. If not, I'm going to need to find them a new home. This would probably only be temporary - if my next living arrangement isn't suitable for raising chickens, then I'll probably only stay there temporarily while I search for a place suitable for raising a flock. So once that happens, I will want to be reunited with my flock.
I will pay $200 as a token of appreciation for accepting the flock and another $100 every month to cover cost of feed. There are 10 chickens total, 6 Isa Browns and 4 Buckeyes. 9 of them are pullets, and one is a cockerel but has never crowed, he is a cowardly rooster and the lowest on the pecking order. A couple of the chickens get bullied so you need to spend a little extra time with them each day to make sure they get adequate food and water.
I'd prefer to give these to someone within New England. Rhode Island would be even better but beggars can't be choosers. I hope someone is interested
