This is our 6 week old Rhode Island Red. We are new to chicken keeping and don’t know how to sex’s them. So is this chicken a boy or a girl ( all picks are the same chicken)

I’m not sure! Do you have any pictures of her/his tail? The way the tail feathers are coming in could be a big clue. If you don’t, just look for curved feathers and saddle feathers (indicating it is a rooster) or straight feathers and no “saddle” effect (indicating it is a hen). The neck feathers will also look very pointy if it is a rooster.
 
Hmmm. Nothing screaming cockerel for now. :) I've come to realize it's common for Rhode Island Red pullets to develop their combs (to a certain extent) relatively early. Your baby is too young for gender-specific plumage, so we can't go on this just yet. All 6-week-old cockerels sport rounded feathers.
