My hen and tried to fly up and roost but unfortunately fell and broke her leg, the leg was broken kind of high up so my husband and I did our best to splint the leg ourselves. We decided to do this because the chicken overall seemed fine still, hearty appetite, drinking fine, still laying a daily egg doesn't appear to be showing signs of much pain, also I keep her separate from the flock. It's been about a week and for the past few days has been standing on her one foot and hopping around. I was wanting to get some opinions from other flockers and feedback. Anyone else have this issue? How did you/would you go about it?
