Rhode Island Red hen wound from Fox

My hen was picked up by a fox this morning. I was able to scare the **** Fox and he dropped her. She came running home but with a wound on her back. I have applied first aid spray (blu Kot) and have her seperated from the rest of the flock. She did lay an egg and is eating. Any advice????

I would keep up with what you are doing. Hopefully it is just a small puncture or torn skin. Sounds like she is not doing so bad but be persistent with covering the wound with meds to prevent any open wound infection. Try to keep her separated till the wound heals up and no blood is visible to the flock. You are doing the right thing....BRAVO !! Steve
