Rhode Island Red Not Growing

Thank you for all this advice. Her eyes cleared up weeks ago. Her breathing had gotten better but yesterday her breathing was heavier and she sounded congested. I will try what you suggested. Thank you. Should I quarantine her? I had her quarantined when she was really sick before.

If she's been out with the others, quarantine isn't going to help as they've already been exposed. I don't suppose you have a vet that sees chickens? They seem to be as rare as hen's teeth.

Lol, yes very rare. Nobody in my area treats them. It's frustrating cause I have treated her to the best of my ability.

Agree that she still looks ill with that hunched up body position. Treating for coccidiosis is a good idea. Respiratory illness can make them more susceptible. Not all cases of coccidiosis present with obvious symptoms.

Corid:
1/3 teaspoon of Corid powder per gallon for 5 days for preventative
3/4 teaspoon per gallon for 5 days for moderate
1 1/2 teaspoons per gallon for 5 days for severe followed by 1/3 t per gal for 5 days.
Direct dosage for Corid powder mix 1/2 teaspoon powder with 2 teaspoons water and give 0.34 ml per pound orally once day.
