Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire?

From what I understand they are the same original breed of bird?
Which do y’all prefer?
Is there much difference in egg laying ability and disposition?

As I understand it, Rhode Island Reds lay more eggs, grow a bit slower, and are mostly for egg production. New Hampshire Reds feather out faster, lay less eggs, and are good for meat.
