Hi all! I’m looking for some helping sexing my 8 week old RIR/Orpington mixes. They were hatched from fertilized eggs from my older birds, and I know the full Orpington in this batch is a rooster (already crowing!) and the black sex link mix is a hen. The RIRs are confusing though. The one with the darker legs is acting like a roo, so I’m pretty sure he’s a he. I think the one with lighter legs is a roo as well, but my adult RIRs have HUGE combs, so I don’t want to assume incorrectly here. I’ll need to rehome the roosters, so I want to be as sure as possible.

Lighter legs next to the Orpington too.

I have a 9 weeks old wellsumer hen and you can see her comb is pink and tiny compared to the litter rooster.
With bright red comb at this age I am guessing they are all rooster.
