Rhode Island Red - roo?

This chick(?) is about 8 weeks old. She isn’t as soft as my other chicks and doesn’t appreciate being handled anymore. (I’ve handled all my chicks since they were 1 day old.)

Do I have a rooster or just a feisty chick?

I'm inclined to think roo from the comb and wattle. Do you have photos of your others for comparison?

Handsome cockerel. If you intend to keep him, it may be best to not try to handle him too much.

I believe a roo as well.... My RR are about 8 weeks old and they haven't even started a comb growth yet.

Since they aren't RIR's, definitely hard to compare, but I do believe it is a roo! My favorite rooster was a RIR <3

The red looks like a cockerel. The Dominique looks like a pullet. I'll have to defer on the EE, I'm not familiar with them. The other two might be too early to say, but they look like pullets.

I was just curious about the RIR. I’m not guessing that the other chicks are Roos.
