Rhode Island Red Sexing

Positive? It's now 6 weeks old. See my hatchery is INSISTING that this is a pullet. I sent them the same photos. Idk if they're playing games with me.
Yeah, I'd bet money on it. A 6 week old pullet shouldn't have any comb.
I think your hatchery needs more sexing lessons... :/

So what you say they are trolling me around ? I paid for pullets and they swear on it and tell me to wait til 12 weeks to see saddle feathers what not.

I'd say so.
They can't be 100% correct, 100% of the time.
You could do that, but that big red comb is a dead giveaway, IMO.

Any idea ?
At 6 weeks with that size of comb and wattles, there is no doubt in my mind that it's a cockerel. If the hatchery is saying otherwise then they're hoping you'll just forget about it. Ridiculous to have to wait until saddle feathers grow in when you could find it a good home in the meantime.

I agree, definitely a cockerel. RIR pullets mature fast but not THAT fast. At that rate he might be crowing before he gets saddle feathers lol
