here they are outside at last. Their run is much larger but they stick near the food.i guess they are 10 weeks maybe. I am not really sure when they hatched.

I recently inherited a RIR hen. Not sure of her exact age, according to my brother, who I got her from, she should be laying by now. However, a month or so ago, their shepard decided he wanted to play with her. Well, you can imagine a full size German Shepard trying to play with a little hen. Well, she is perfectly fine now, no sign that anything ever happened. She isnt laying though. Would the "attack" and recovery have delayed her laying for this long? I know nothing about chickens being attacked, and even less about RIRs, since she is my first, since I only have cochins. Also, I have never introduced another chicken to my cochins, since I got them all at the same time. They seem to be fine, but whenever the RIR comes out of the coop, one of my girl cochins, pecks at her. Also, my cochins are bantams and the RIR is standard, so its kind of funny to watch my little one peck at her. I can tell the RIR is not hurt cause she just stands there or just walks away. Is it an alpha female thing, since my cochins already have their place in the "pecking" order? Also, my Cochin rooster, pecked her once in the face area. I just want to make sure thats all normal. They leave her alone in the coop. I feel bad cause she never comes out and she had free range of my brothers whole yard. Today is only the second full day that I have had her. So hopfully it will take a little more time for her to be fully accepted?
