Rhode Island Red x Red Sex Link Chick-Is it sexable now?

Hi All,
We have a new beautiful Rhode Island Red rooster, and we hatched out one of his eggs. The mom is one of our Red Sex Link hens. This little one is now 2 days old. This chick is red with black stripes on the back and black on the head. I LOVE the eye liner! I know that Sex Links are sex able as day olds, but they also do not breed true. So, is there anyway to tell whether this chick is a male or female at this age? Or, do we just need to wait till the usual 6-8 weeks? Any thoughts anyone? Thanks!!

No way to tell. Sex links are a one time thing. Looks like you'll have a nice red bird, whatever the gender.
