Rhode Island Red?

I was told by Tractor Supply Co. when I bought these they where Rhode Island Red, didnt know if maybe production red? the are both just as dark as the darkest one they just look different in pic..

I picked up a couple that are slightly older twins to yours. Mine feathered in extremely dark. I was a bit surprised. So many hatchery RIR are so orange/rust in color. I have a feeling at least one of yours will be just as dark. Obviously, they aren't for show, so if they are healthy, well mannered and lay eggs, I'll be quite happy as will you, I assume.

yea of course I would like to know exactly what they are, but these are more for eggs and pets for my two year old daughter.. I handle them every day and let them eat out my hand for a little while.. they are sweat little birds.​
