I've had chickens before and then moved into a new house recently. Ordered 20 RIR and picked them up yesterday at www.idealpoultry.com in Cameron, Tx. They are settling into their new brooder, eating drinking and pecking away at everything. I'm thankful for all of the information here. It never hurts to learn more. I built my brooder from plans found here, purchased a new chicken coop from a local farmer. Looking forward to being a part of the backyardchickens community.

We're glad to have you.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I've ordered chicks on several occasions from Ideal Poultry (from as far away as Hawaii), and have always been happy with their birds and service. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your chicks.

I adore the 2 RIR's we have in our mixed flock, such tough sturdy girls and attitude too, lol. Nice to have you join us and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
