Rhode Island Reds the correct color

I'm not sure about the coloring....I bought my girls as RIRs but a week or so ago, someone on here told me that RIRs don't have the white feathering, and I might have "Red Stars"? I don't care what they are, they're great layers, and super pretty. I have seen some pics on here of RIRs that look like my girls though. What do you guys think?

Yes, My original reds I got 2 dozen eggs 2 years ago from Mike Johnson in Parker, hatched a bunch. Last year, he decided to sell out of the RIR's so I got some 4 more females from him, and I hatched some again.

Here are some pictures I took today-

I am not sure who JerryD is as far as silkies but I am sure your roos came from Marilyn Uilk. I would be we do not have the same lines, as my foundation came from Premier Silkies and I do not believe that Marilyn has ever bought from Premier, though, Marilyn has bought birds from me. They might be close in lines though as mostly all the older strains carry some form of George Mihalik in them. What color silkies you have?

The Color on the Rose Comb male is about as dark as it can get. I wonder what color his quill color is. Pull some of his feathers around his saddle and near the oil gland. Hold them up to the sky and look at the quill color. It could be bing cherry blood red. Great looking birds from Colo. the width of back on your male looks great. Twenty years ago thier fore fathers use to have a width of back the size of a twoxsix and even from the middle of the back to the oil gland area. Nice to know these old Mohawks are still going after twenty years.
