Rhodesian Ridgebacks good with chickens?

I realize this is a post written in 2007, however, I wanted to comment in case someone new seeks this post. I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback. She is excellent with all of my chickens and also our kittens. She has never once harmed any of them or been rough with any of them. She also has a HIGH prey drive. She will stampede after any moving animal -- except -- our animals. Rhodesians are very intelligent. She knows these animals are ours. She learned quickly from our teaching not to mess with them. I trust her completely around our animals. She is alone with them every day.

Do you think a RR/Lab mix raised and trained around chickens might work? I'm looking at puppies as both my dogs passed away last year. I'm having a really hard time finding a dog that doesn't just go straight after them. I'm willing to keep them separate when I'm not around, but someday I'd like to be able to let them mingle. My last dog (a weimaraner) would let the girls literally walk all over him.
