Rhodies

Do you have them on layer feed?
It’s important that they have proper nutrition to lay eggs.

Any day now they will start laying ... I can’t remember the age mine started .

They sure are nice birds
Yes they are on layer food

x2. Flock Raiser is 20% protein, and is generally better nutritionally than the 'bare bones' layer type feeds. All my birds do better than when I was feeding a layer diet. And it's easier for me!

ony thing you can get in my area is starter food or layer food,,,

I figured things out. Seems the neighbors dog from a 1/2 mile up the road is getting in my barn. the coop is in the barn. Dog cannot get into the coop. I wondered why 5 or 6 of them do not want to go in the coop in the evening.

'Free ranging' dogs are not good! So many people move 'out to the country' on their one acre lot and think that their dogs can run free. Maybe have a talk with them, or send Animal Control if that's a better (safer) choice.
My dogs are very well fenced, and nearly never get out (one dog, two years ago, never left our property). I have no tolerance for idiots who can't keep their dogs at home, at least after a warning.
Your birds are being smart!
Can you do electric fencing?
Mary

I have no tolerance for free range dogs either. I cant do electric fencing right now.
