rhubarb

I was wondering if anyone know is you can feed you chickens rhubarb? the fruit and or the leaves?

I have heard the leaves are toxic, not real sure on fruit. Hope this helps a little.

I know i can feed the leaves to my pigs but I love the chickens more

they leaves are poisonous, but chickens have to consume a lot, for them to be harmed (death)

we have a rhubarb plant in my yard the chickens love to eat the leaves and at first we were really worried but none of them have ever gotten sick from them. i dont try to feed it to them but they eat it anyway

My chickens have, suddenly, started eating the leaves of my rhubarb, as well. I was wondering if the oxalic acid would hurt them, but so far they don't seem effected and they keep coming back for more. I guess I expect that they would not eat them if it was harmful. On the other hand, I hope they don't go back to eating it in the spring!
