is it ok to give them left over cooked white rice? It's pretty sticky. . .not just plain instant rice. . . .thoughts?

ahhh, you guys rock here! Always questioning something and someone is always on the ready to answer. Mine seem to love it as well. . . .but I always want to make sure it is good for them. Thanks for your rapid response. . . .here's to chickens!

When my ducks were small we would put them in the bath tub for some swimming time and I would always put a handful of uncooked white rice in there for them to nibble on. There was never any rice left when we took them out.

Yeah, so I found out the same. . . wow! What an easy "leftover" treat! Thanks for the response. . . .

Can you feed them "raw, uncooked" rice? White and brown?
Yes, you can. You'll have folks swear blind you can't, that the rice will swell up in their crop and kill them. That's just not true, birds eat rice from the fields all the time. Rice doesn't swell when soaked, it has to be actually cooked.
