Rice Protien

I just noticed that New Country Organics sells rice protein (51% protein.) Is this a good source of protein for chickens? Five out of my flock of 11 hens and 3 pullets are starting to molt. I was wondering if this would be a good and simple way to give them some extra protein. I don't feed soy, so I thought this might work. Thanks.

If I were considering it, what I would do is find the analysis of what amino acids are present in rice protein, and in what amounts. Then compare it to the recommended amounts for chickens. That will tell you if it will be of some use to your birds, or just tax their system with getting rid of excess protein they can't utilize.
