Ridley bronze eggs laying

I have 9 hens to my one Tom. Pure bred Ridleys

They have had extra light for close to three weeks, there first mating was 12 days ago. Is there anything more I can do to encourage them to start laying sooner

I learned from my turkeys that you can't encourage them to do anything they don't want to. What's your location.

Here in Wisconsin I won't see any eggs generally until April. Never tried adding extra light. That does have to be started a while back and slowly increased to mimic natural lighting increasing this time of year.

Those down south will have their turkeys begin laying sooner, so there has to be something more to it than just extra light.
