I hatched 10 pheasants from 12 eggs (highest hatch rate from any chickens I've incubated) and am looking for any good advice on raising pheasants. These little critters are fast, yet very skittish. They seem to like to eat their feed off the ground and not in a chicken feeder. Do these little buggers ever stop moving and will they settle down and get used to me?

Most likely nope they will not get use to you. You might have one or two that won't totally spaze out. In all the years I raised pheasants only my silvers and Goldens were some what docile.

Ah, good to know. Thank you.

I made a special run for my pheasants, it was recommended that I put some tree branches in there for them to seek cover. Any recommendations here?
