Ringneck Pheasants!

Alright I need some help on hatching some ringneck pheasants in a still air incubator. I am going to be getting eggs this Friday from my grandfather who just got 7 females and 1 male. I saw them yesterday and my dad had to let them old man know I had a incubator. So now its my task to hatch him some chicks for him to sell. They are already laying eggs and just need some help on how to hatch them. Ive read in many places that the temp should be 99.5 and 50-60% humidity. Is that right if not please give me the right info and some tips to hatch some healthy chicks!

Your going to need to make sure your incubator is well disinfected.....then just keep your temp around 99.5-100 degrees and humidity 30s to 40s during incubation....then 50-60 during hatch. Keep the air plugs either both closed or one in and one out during incubation and then open up both during hatch.
In 24 days you should have some happy and healthy ringneck chicks!

What should I do to make sure its disenfected really well. Can I use bleach or some type of good cleaning product? So I should take one of those little plugs out during hatching and then take both out during the last day? Also is there a lockdown stage for pheasants like stop turing and all of that?

Bleach and scrub the whole thing and set out in son...then let it warm up for 1-2 days. Yes stop turning 2-3 days before hatch...I have been trying a new technique of waiting till I see pips and have been having great success with that...and keep the eggs upright when hatching has also led to me having larger hatches. And yep 1 plug out during incubation...both out during hatch..dont worry though if you have to put them back in to increase humidity though...humidity is more important there are plenty of air holes already in the bator.

Where do you put the water in the incubator the 2 chanells mine has have some holes so they leck before if can even close it. Could I try like a old rag or something that holds water pretty good?
