Coccidioidomycosis is a parasitic protazoa that was Bonnys undoing. As a new chicken and coop I thought we would be invincible with a new start. Well early on I saw the telltell signs listless, small, drupping wings, nasty diarrhea stuck in her feathers.so I separated her from the other chickens and thought she would grow stronger. She died the day we took her to the vet and he took a sample and verified we were to late for her but the other 3 were saved.
Since you know you have at least one strain in your soil (it's really impossible to get rid of it) then it would be a good idea to have Corid on hand, especially if you have chicks or are bringing in new birds, that way you can treat right away if you see symptoms.
