It’s been months but I still miss her. She was my favorite.
I sometimes feel like I wanna get another black Sumatra but it wouldn’t be Etta. She was so friendly and curious and smart. she could fly over the fence and enjoyed her freedom, but one day she just never came back. I don’t know how she met her fate.
But she was so feisty she used to threaten neighborhood dogs if they came on our lawn, the photo of her with her wings out my friend texted me, she was walking her dog and Etta wasn’t having it lol.
Etta was fiercely protective of all her “sisters” even tho she was the smallest.
she was a great chicken and I miss her!

Oh I am so sorry she has passed. :hugs Pretty girl. 💖These birds really get intertwined in our hearts, it's hard to let go. I hope your heavy heart heals soon. :hugs

I think we all have struggled with the same feelings. Some of them just grab our hearts and never let go. The good news is that you will never forget her. One of the great things about our lives is that we gather memories and experiences of those who touch our lives. Try to remember the good stories like you have here. The pain of loss will ease with time and you will have all of these lovely stories and pictures to share with others.

:hugs :hugs :hugs
