Well, I KNEW my malinois would be a chicken killer if given the opportunity. Now I have proof. My six year old daughter went out to pet the chickens in the run and our SLW cockerel slipped past her and into the yard. She had forgotten the dog was out so she didn't bother to catch him and put him back in the run. I came out a little later and found him dead. Looks like it was quick, four punctures and that's it. He was still warm.
At least my daughter didn't see it happen. She was upset enough when she realized she should have been more careful. BUT, at least it was the cockerel that we were trying to re-home and not one of the girls. Poor little guy.
