RIP little Topaz. :(

Oh, Toredano.....those babies remind me so much of Topaz and his siblings when we first found them.

Well, I was told to use puppy formula instead of kitten formula but I really don't know why. I honestly think either would work. I keep a can of puppy formula at all times just in case.

I found with mine that using a dropper worked far better than a little bottle. And you have to stimulate them to potty after they are fed. I used q-tip dipped in warm water to rub their little bottoms.

Have raised many newborns, mostly orphaned kittens. Some raccoons and squirrels have come into my life.
So important to stimulate, and keep a heating pad for warmth.

Definitely sounds like you would know what to do if you find any.

It is honestly so easy to end up being an opossum mommy. There are so many killed on the roads.

I found one earlier this year.....the mother had been dead for a LONG time when I found her and all of the babies were dead except one in her pouch. It was very tiny (eyes not open, no fur yet) and extremely cold when I found it, though, and didn't make it through the night.

My last ones were from a customer at the bank I worked at. She found these lil ones she said were abandoned last May in her neighbors yard from a feral mom..yes, I have "cat lady" status.
Mind you, I partake in TNR. All my cats are fixed, but they always find me. With open arms.
They came to me like this.

Then blossomed into loving kittens.
And I sent them to a great loving home where they were both adopted.

I guess everyone knows I will take in ANY animal because every stray ends up on my doorstep. It seems my bathroom never truly belongs to me....it is some stray or another having babies. They are almost always pregnant when they get dumped here.

The bathroom is the nursery here too!
I'm always blessed to be the Mom. The every 2 hour feedings, the "poo and pee stimulation".
When it ends up with faces like that in a good home, it's worth it's weight in gold to me.
Yes I do remember all my raised babies. Most of the folks that adopted them send me a pic once in a while.
Gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to know they are doing good and I chose the right homes for them.
Yes, I turned down quite a few people that did not seem to have the best interest of my babies.
