yes I am thanks its not the same but to top it off a farmer friend has given us 2 hens and next hatching will be having a couple of seramas

Oh it wasn't a earlier post But there was the HUGE black poodle roaming around my yard and I chased it off not worrying about it coming later on. But i let the chickens out today and then checked about 1 hour later and IT WAS IN THE COOP and it was pawing at my wounded chicken!! I couldn't find 2 of the chickens and only found piles of feathers in a few places around the yard. They came back about 5 hours later 2 hours apart. I THOUGHT THEY WERE DEAD!!

Sorry to hear about your loss, it's never easy losing a birdy
I hope there is some way to reinforce training! We had a little bit of issues with our dog (just chasing) but we cracked down on it pretty quickly and luckily never had a problem. Good luck for future times!

You are so right about dogs, you just never know. He may have been wanting to "play" with her, but was to rough. On this forum, we understand.

oh no I would have been mortified where had they been??? Do u know,,,,I am so pleased they weren't x
