Most know we had a duckling named Weebles that was disabled due to a spinal injury we didn't know about when we bought her. She was eating and drinking, but the injury continued to get worse as she got bigger to the point where her wings were dragging on the ground. Her entire body was twisted. We did several treatments with her and nothing helped. We tried our hardest to not have to make this decision.

I feel so guilty for having to euthanize her, but today we found her half dead in the yard unable to do anything... We were gone doing errands this morning.

I'll miss this beauty :hit:hit:hit

No more chicken swaps for us, this was the last straw

I am so sorry, I know how much you loved little Weeble. I am sure she knew too:hugs

We tried so hard to fight for her, but her little body just couldn't handle growing. The more she grew the worse everything got. It was almost like a dwarfism or something like that, she wasn't growing fast and she looked compressed. Yesterday was rough because she couldn't eat out of the feeder without falling. She had zero strength to hold up her wings and they were dragging on the ground, if you put them where they were supposed to be they'd just fall down again.

I hope I never have to deal with dishonesty in the chicken community again... Makes me not want to trust anyone now

Hopefully they accept her. My Runners, Buffs an Muscovy live together peacefully. My one female Muscovy even likes to hang out with the Runners.
Cocothe chocolate muscovy has been hanging out with the other ducks since day 1. They usually left Weebles behind
