RIP Weebles

Most know we had a duckling named Weebles that was disabled due to a spinal injury we didn't know about when we bought her. She was eating and drinking, but the injury continued to get worse as she got bigger to the point where her wings were dragging on the ground. Her entire body was twisted. We did several treatments with her and nothing helped. We tried our hardest to not have to make this decision.

I feel so guilty for having to euthanize her, but today we found her half dead in the yard unable to do anything... We were gone doing errands this morning.

I'll miss this beauty :hit:hit:hit

No more chicken swaps for us, this was the last straw
I have lost babies and adult duckies. It will always hurt. We know the value of life and miss them when they depart.

So sorry to hear this :hugs don't give up on the rest of the feathered community just because of one bad egg in the bunch! (The human I mean, not Weebles) Heart is broken with you! :(

I'll just deal with reputable breeders not chicken swaps. This isn't our first incident with dishonesty, but I continue to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.

I wish I could find someone who will ship fertile duck eggs and chicken eggs. But then I heard that the hatch rates aren't good on shipped eggs.

That’s sad they left her but at least Cocoa is bonded with these ducklings!
Coco is pickles favorite duck still no idea if it's a she or he. Oh well I'll just pretend she until it proves otherwise. I don't trust it's female now just due to what happened with Weebles
