ripening tomatoes indoors ?

my aunt said the same thing!! she loves fried green tomatoes i've personally never tried them because i didn't know green ones were edible i thought they had the solanine poison in them all nightshades have but is in high concentrations in green tomatoes ... at least that's what i was told once
 
We had some of our last tomatoes that I pulled before our frost and tried a new trick. Take a paper bag or other container that will breathe some and place a few green tomatoes along with a ripe banana or apple. The gases released will help ripen the "mater". Mac
