Oh thank goodness. I have eleven 8 week-old chicks and 3 are definitely roosters. But I was getting worried that even more may turn out to be roosters because they have little combs coming in that look very similar to the photos above. Also a lot of the hens are very vigorous and like to butt chests, peck each other, even the roosters, and get up high. However, the 3 that are clearly roosters have much larger combs, have more stand-offs, one has mutton chops and feathers on his feet (so cute) and another one is practicing his crowing every morning (also cute). So can I rest and assume none of the others are roosters?
