Today when I went to pick up my bird to hold her and I noticed blood on my fingertips. I picked her up and saw this completely featherless area, and she won't stop biting herself where the blood is coming from.. None of my birds have molted so far so I don't know what this is. I am also unsure of whether or not I can still keep her with the other hens. She's not screaming or anything and seems to be fine but after a minute or two she'll just start pecking herself more, and blood was getting on her beak.. Anyone know what this is?
The part on the left is her right leg and her stomach is the other part, its at least 4 or 5 inches of emptiness.
