I have a RIR hen that is sitting on a clutch of eggs and is fairly aggressive when I try to take them. She fluffs up her feathers too, but I have read RIRs dont go broody?

Okay, thank youWhen it says a breed does not go broody it's talking of the breed overall. No matter what the breed, there is always exceptions.
ISA Browns are a hybrid, Rhode Island Reds are a pure breed. I've never seen ISA Browns called RIRs, they're completely different birds.I had pure breed RIR and they get broody, sometimes ISA Brown are called RIR. ISA Brown don't get broody.

The first link though, the poster clearly didn't know the breed of chicken. The second link is the exact same pic. ISA browns are part RIR, so it's legitimate.
