RIR? Hen or Roo?

Newest member of my chicken clan which I think is a Rhode Island Red, purchased as a hen but I'm now starting to have my doubts. Hope you guys can help me clarify

Looks to be a pullet. Not an RIR, however, most likely some form of 'production red'.

It isn't a rhode island red. More like some type of production red mix. It has black in its feathers at random locations and it doesn't have yellow legs. Do you know age? leaning much towards pullet

No I don't know the age, just picked it up from a poultry auction the other day. Was listed as a Rhode Island Red hen. I was wondering about the black feathers and wether it was a mix of some kind. If she turns out to be a hen and gives me a few eggs a week I'll be happy. My other 2 girls are happy to have a new friend

I agree, you probably have a hen, though she's not a Rhode Island Red.

Seems like a pullet to me, although it isn't an RIR. Probably some kind of Production Red mix.
