RIR lost voice

RIR rooster at 5 1/2 mos. had been crowing beautifully and yesterday couldn't pull it off. Today he tries to crow but nothing comes out. Is this a physical ailment? Is there something caught in his throat? Any advice will be appreciated

I had a rooster that did this years ago... I never did find out what was wrong.. He just started back up a few days later..

I have no idea, maybe he strained his vocal cords?

Thank you. He is drinking and eating fine so I'll just keep an eye on him.

What I wouldn't give for my roosters to lose their voice sometimes. They crow all night and all day. But I guess that I would rather have them healthy and not crowing. Mine crow all night and all day,
