I'd say pullet, my RIR roo had a pretty bright red comb at that age...

14 weeks now. Still pullet? this chicken is running around singing the egg song, but if it's a pullet, it's still too young! You can also see that the other chickens are behind this one a bit in comb and wattles. If it turns out to be a roo, I want to snatch it up before crowing time if I can get away with it. Should be interesting.

All my RIR's are getting ultra red, but all my leghorns are delayed, it seems.

Oh good.

She just keeps getting more red and more wattle-y so I get worried. No pretty green feathers yet tho

. Good thing we put the egg boxes in, juuuuust in case we have a precocious one! (who I am sure will lay wherever she wants and NOT in our well made boxes!).
