So I know chickens cannot physically vomit, but I don’t know how else to describe it. My RIR pullet (named Sabine) started having a weird problem when the weather got hot this summer. She always pants the most out of our girls, and when she drinks water her breath starts to sound gurgle-y like the water stayed in her throat. Sometimes Sabine vomits the water back up after drinking it, but she’s been like this for months so she’s obviously getting enough water. After one of our other pullets died (later we found out it was cancer) we had to take another pullet to the vet to make sure it wasn’t a parasite that had spread to the other flock members and I chose Sabine because she had been having these problems, but the vet said there was nothing wrong with her, so I’m very confused. What could be going on? And is there anything we can do about it? (She lays eggs that seem perfectly normal and she seems otherwise fine).
