Sam is a very sweet, 1 year old Rhode Island Red rooster. He's been a part of our backyard flock since he was 8 weeks old. We were able to keep him (even though we live in city limits) because he was quiet, but recently he started making a noise suspiciously like crowing each morning. The neighbors aren't happy about it-to say the least-so he needs a new home ASAP. He is a friendly and curious guy. He shows no aggression towards me or my two young boys. Even lets my toddler pet him and follow him around. Sam takes his job of protecting his hens seriously though, and showed our 45 lb dog who was boss straight away. They get along fine now, but the dog will back down if Sam comes up to her. He's actually my favorite because he's the friendliest and first to come running to see what treat I've brought. He's patient about being picked up and has always been healthy. I'd really like to find him a good home where he can live out his days. I'm happy to deliver him or meet you 1/2 way if it's far. Thanks for considering!

We did find a new home for the rooster where he could live out his days on a farm nearby. If you wanted nah hens, let me know. We have four and just found out that two of us have an egg sensitivity. Not sure I want to rehome the, but I'm considering it.
