Hubby and I differ on opinion. Anyone have an idea? We picked up our chicks from feed store on Oct 1 which is the day they arrived there.

I think cockerel for being as young as he or she is but time will tell.

It's way too early to determine gender. Post new pictures when it's at least 6 weeks old.

I too think that it’s a bit young for an accurate sex but I’m leaning maybe to boy because of the age you said and comb size but it could be a girl. Update in a few weeks and the sexing should be easier and more accurate.

It’s usually too early, but that is a bouncing baby boy.

Okay, thanks everyone! Will report back in a couple of weeks with new pics. And out of our mix of 7 the RIR seems to also be starting to be Queen/King of the group vs one of the 2 Americana/Ameraucana. Which makes me think a little more Roo, but I'm brand new at this so that might not mean anything.
