Does anyone sex their week-old chicks (RIR) by looking at wings? I've read other posts here on it. Watched a video on UTube. Pullets will be long short? I have 3 and 11 in the incubator

Does anyone sex their week-old chicks (RIR) by looking at wings? I've read other posts here on it. Watched a video on UTube. Pullets will be long short? I have 3 and 11 in the incubator

I use this method, but Long/Short only works for breeds/mixes bred for that trait.
I have a technique I use specifically for chickens that don't have the trait that works fairly well.

No, long/short don't apply to them.

Technique I use has to do with the shape of the wings, I call it the Butterfly Technique.
