My RIR, Rhoda, has one wing hanging low as of this morning. She seems fine otherwise. I did see her poop and inspected it. The poop is yellow and I see a smear of red, maybe blood?

I just put out some hydro hen alongside their regular water.

My lavender orpington has had a slightly poopy butt the past few days as well. She's acting fine so I'm not sure if she just got some runny cecal poo caught in her feathers...

First timer here and worried about the ladies. What would you do if these were your hens?

Edited to add: the girls are about 19 weeks and none are laying yet.

Upon picking her up and comparing both wings, the droopy wing seems almost dislocated? She's not holding it up at all. You pick it up and it just flops back down.

She also did some more pooping but it was a very liquid yellow.

The wing may be dislocated or very sore if she's not holding it up.
You can give her a few days to see if she slowly begins to pull it up or if vet care is an option they may be able to do an Xray to see if it's broken/dislocated.

Did she indicate pain when you manipulated the wing? You could try splinting/wrapping on your own, the Splinting Manual below gives you tips on examination to determine the correct wrapping/splinting or if it's even necessary.

To me, the poop looks to have some intestinal shedding, which is the red looking material. This can be normal to see every once in a while. The poop does have a bit of mucous, but that can be normal too (every once in a while). I'd monitor the poops for a couple of days, see if it continues/if it's consistent with intestinal shedding and mucous. If that's the case, then treating for worms and/or Coccidiosis would be the next steps I'd take.

I think we're ok on the poop front. I have her wing wrapped up. I had to redo the wrap 3 times on Sunday. LOL She was managing to wiggle out of it. It's secure now and I think I will leave it one more day, unwrap Wednesday, and see where it's at. If still dangling, I guess I rewrap and wait a few more days.

THANK YOU for your help, everyone!

I took the wrap off and the wing was still hanging. I took her to the vet. They did an x ray (yes I'm nuts). She said it's not broken OR dislocated. The vet wrapped it again.

Now this morning the chicken is limping. :/ I guess I just wait and see. Supposed to take her back to the vet in a week.

I'm hopeful. I'm worried it might be Marek's. There are my first chickens and they do not free range. There have never been chickens on the property. And they are vaxxed for Marek's. But I did get them at 8 weeks old from a hatchery. They could've gotten it while they were there. IDK. The limp wing and now the leg limp seem like it's a possibility.
