RIR x cuckoo marans rooster

If I have a cuckoo maran rooster and breed with my hens which are RIR, won’t they lay brown eggs too?

Brown egg father, brown egg mother, yes their chicks should also lay brown eggs.

Since Marans are supposed to lay darker brown eggs than Rhode Island Reds, the daughters might lay somewhat darker eggs than their RIR mothers (depends on the exact genes carried by the rooster, and since he doesn't lay eggs it's all guesswork until his daughters start to lay).
