Rir ?

I was wondering how good do rhode island reds set? I accidently ended up with a roo. I have 50 hens some 2 1/2 years old and some 5 months old. ASll rir's I have 2 of the styraphome incubators But I would like to try and have a hen set some if they are good at it.
Also How many hens can this roo keep fertalised? I would put him in a seperate pen . to collet fertile eggs.

He should be able to keep 8-12 hens fertile. I have never heard of a RIR going broody, but maybe others have...

My RIR was sitting on a clutch of 16 when I bought the farm. No roo so I took them from her.
