RIR's Can You Tell

I have no pics yet but will get some if no one can answer the ? at hand....

I have 12 RIR Chicks....about 3 weeks old and they seems to be changing to look differnt.

5 of them are developing major tail feathers....
7 of them have no tail feathers and a rounded butt instead.

Question:

Are the ones getting the pointed tail feathers Roosters????
Are the ones without tail feathers Hens??????

This is what I am hoping but not sure. I am going to try to get some pics soon.

Generally the ones with the tail-feathers coming in first are the pullets and the ones with rounded rears are the males.
