Hi All! This is my first post as I’m very new to chickens. We adopted six girls who are thought to be RIRs. As they grow in their feathers from a heavy molt -they’re about a year old- they don’t look like the typical dark brown/red RIR. None of them have any black in their tails, granted they aren’t fully feathered! Could they be golden comets instead? I’ve seen some GCs with more red than golden feathers. Thanks for any input!

I didn't know that so thanks for this thread haha
Red sex link, red star, golden comet, gold sexlink....all red birds with white and gold feathers that are sex linked, lay brown eggs, and are for egg production. Some crosses have different parents, but they are all basically the same birds.
