RIR'S, SHOULD THEY LOOK LIKE THIS?????

Hi everyone, these are my RIR's and I was wondering if they look like they should. And should the hens have black on the main tail feathers? Be honest. I need the help.

This is my RIW. I want to bread with the RIR, and what will I get? Comet Sex Links? I think.

If I remember right, I think it's the roo who needs to be the RIW.

As for the RIR's. The black in the tails is normal. But looks like you have happy helathy feed store/ hatchery RIR's.

They look like the new hampshire reds on the Mcmurray hatchery site to me ~ but they are beautiful birds ~

They look just like my RIR. They are sure pretty in the sunlight!

They look like production bred RI Reds & yes, the female should have black main tail feathers. Your RI White isn't- RI Whites are rose combed not single combed. I'd say that's a White Rock.

To say what others have said, he looks like a hatchery RIR. RIW's are supposed to be rose combed. You should be able to cross the RIR roo with RIW hens and get sexlinks.

And what kind of RIR's are there. I got him off ebay as an egg. Hatched them my self, I did. LOL What is a hatchery RIR?
