Like most people who post questions, this is my first time incubating my own eggs. I usually have a broody which makes life easier...
Anyway, I did reading etc and bought a reptile hygro/ thermometer to check my new unit and hope it's all within acceptable ranges as I started incubating last night. I had a lot of trouble getting the humidity right in the first 6 hours but it's ok now. (I just added too much water and should not have trusted the booklet
). Anyway, how long does it normally take for an additional thermometer to stop rising and settle? I'm literally sitting here like an old grandma, minding an incubator.
